ABOUT

I’ve always been drawn to stories that stretch across generations—the ones where family secrets are uncovered, where history lingers in the present, and where the echoes of the past shape who we are today. Bound by a.Kin is my way of exploring that fascination through literature, diving into family sagas, books that map out family trees, and stories that unravel the ties that bind us across time.

This blog is more than just a place for book reviews—it’s a personal challenge. A way to bring together my love for reading, writing, genealogy, and the art of mapping out family histories. I want to learn from these books, trace the fictional and real family trees they present, and reflect on something deeper: Why do we care about genealogy? Why does it matter?

As I explore these books, I’ll be drawing family trees, uncovering patterns, and reflecting on the connections between fiction and our own search for belonging. If you share that same curiosity—if you, too, find yourself drawn to the past in search of meaning—then I hope you’ll follow along. Let’s discover together the ties that connect us, the histories we inherit, and the stories that shape who we are.
